The Frank Lloyd Wright Nakoma sculpture was originally designed for the Nakoma Country Club in Wisconsin which was never built. Its clubhouse has been built recently by the Taliesin Architects. Nakoma's graceful curvilinear design is symbolic of Mother Nature, Earth, and domestic virtue. The circular form appears in her posture, head, bowl, and papoose. The statue is 24" tall, 70 pounds, and is made with fiber-reinforced concrete with a cast sandstone finish. Carefully reproduced from sketches in the Frank Lloyd Wright Archives, it is designed for outdoor use.
